4. Develop a process flow diagram

• Purpose - Provide a clear, simple outline of steps in process

• Must include all steps in the process which are under control of the feed mill

• Is a compilation of all the process steps used to manufacture a product from receiving to distribution

• Use words, not engineering terms

• Can use simple block diagram

Example of Flow Diagram: Feed mill

Lean Gain Sacked

• Define Returned Product

• Define Rework

• Must be included on the flow diagram

• Simple schematic of facility and product flow useful
